All done! My latest painting is now enjoying some drying time!
40cm x 50cm Oil on Fine Stretched Linen
Turns out I love painting hands almost as much as I love painting glass!
In other news, I have an exhibition coming up, which I'm seriously scared about! I'm not overly comfortable with the idea of standing alongside my art, with people reacting to it, right in front of me! But still, it's something we have to get used to, right?
I'm doing the exhibition with a friend of mine, also an artist and a friend since childhood, so at least we are in it together!
Above left is Kerry Caffyn.
Above right... well of course that would be me!
In case you live close enough to pop by, the opening night is on Friday 1st November, 6pm-9pm at 'The Framing Gallery' (aka, Walls of Fame), 13 High Street, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 8LU. And of course we will be there.
The paintings will be on display throughout November.
In other news, I am expecting a new canvas to arrive today so I can start my next painting! It's always exciting to see a blank canvas and wonder what it will become... I hope it turns out how I plan!
Week in a nutshell...
Anxious about: Upcoming exhibition - Eek!
Looking forward to: Two weeks in Thailand, coming up in just a few short weeks. Woohoo!
Reading: Just finished 'This is Going to Hurt' by Adam Kay. Is hysterically funny!
