Whisky Glass Painting in Progress...As promised, here is layer 2 of my Whisky painting. This is what I call my 'tonal map'... ![]() It's interesting that in order for me to create paintings which are all about 'light', first I must embrace the darkest darks. The next layers will see the introduction of subtle colours and depth, so watch this space! Meanwhile, I couldn't decide on the spelling of this deep amber tipple. I knew it was either 'Whisky' or 'Whiskey' but I really wasn't sure which! So I did a little research and it turns out that the Scotts spell it 'Whisky' and the Irish (and Americans) spell it 'Whiskey'... So, there you go, I learned something new today! I also decided on my new marble composition, so I'm ready to get that on to my second panel. This means I'll soon have two painting on the go, which will feel great! I can't tell you how good it feels to be back on top of my schedule, with brushes firmly in hand! Q. What's your favourite tipple?
